Old Fashioned

Gabe’s Old Fashioned

You all should trust Gabe when he says that this is the BEST old fashioned recipe. He has spent years doing “research” in bars and restaurants around the world and countless hours at home trying to perfect this recipe. His secret ingredient is a simple syrup made of Demerara sugar (which can be found at grocery stores or ordered on Amazon). He also prefers to use one extra large ice cube, the silicone trays for which can also be found on Amazon. If Rye is your thing then he suggests you use orange bitters instead of Angostura bitters. If you want to up your old fashioned game (and you are 21 or older) then we encourage you to try this recipe. Make sure you drink responsibly.

Demerara Simple Syrup

Demerara sugar is the preferred sugar for simple syrups in Old Fashioned's. The sugar is more like molasses and when prepared in a 2 to 1 ratio, it is the perfect consistency.
